(Hi!)
Monday
In Maths today, we learnt about properties in angles and for lines.
Part of this was learning how to find angles in triangles.
To find a angle in a triangle, you need to know this: All angles in a single triangle add up to 180'.
Equilateral triangle:
In an equilateral triangle, all the sides are equal, so you divide 180' by three.
Isosceles triangle:
In an isosceles triangle, all the sides are equal, so you use the number that you are given:
In the example, the two bottom angles are both 72', because they are both the same angles.
Right angle triangle:
In a right angle triangle, there is usually a 90' angle going up the left side of the triangle.
To find the three angles, you already know that the bottom left angle is 90', so you just need to find the bottom right and top right.
Scalene triangle:
In a scalene triangle, all the sides and angles are different.
Because of this, you would need a protractor to find the three angles.
Lacrosse
Today we had a lacrosse session for a whole block. (1 and a half hours.)
This was the first time that I had ever played lacrosse.
In lacrosse you need to hold the tennis racket like thing in the picture below with a net.
The aim is to catch and throw the balls using your stick and net only, no hands.
It is really hard at first, but also really fun.
In Term 4 I think we have a school lacrosse team, so I would probably join that team.
Tuesday
Tech Arts
This morning, first block, we had tech arts.
For tech arts at the moment we are doing Science.
Today we made bath bombs!
(In the shape of CUPCAKES!)
To make the bath bombs, we had to mix multiple ingredients, with our hands, and then we compressed it fully into a cupcake mold.
We had to leave it in the science room until Friday, then we could take it home.
Wednesday
Today we had Maths, Reading and Writing, then Jump Jam!
Jump Jam
Wednesday, last block, we did Jump Jam!
This has been my first Jump Jam session for about seven or eight weeks, so I enjoyed it!
Thursday
Today, first block, I had extension art.
In extension art, I'm painting a landscape picture, this is the picture:
The above picture is a waterfall, the painting I am doing currently.
Friday
French
This morning we had French!
We learnt and revised on numbers, places in France, and the dates of the month.
Tech Arts
Middle bock of Friday was tech arts!
Today, after a science test, we got to make SHERBET!
It's really sour, and fizzes in your mouth instantly.
Like the bath bombs, we had to mix in all the ingredients with our fingers.
We were given two scoops of citric acid, but we could have more if we wanted, to make it more sour.
I got a third scoop, 'cause I love sour.
Au Revoir!
Woah Grace you write really long and detailed blog posts.
