Bonjour;
In Maths yesterday, I learnt about formulae. Formulae is like using algebraic rules, which can look like this:
Y=x + 8
7
G=3W + 10
Formulae rules look very similar. This is an example of a rule for formulate:
C=$40 + h x 20
In this example, a mechanic charges $40 call out, plus $20 for every hour attending a weekend breakdown. So, for a breakdown taking two hours to fix, the total cost would be= $40 + 2 x $20.
If I was finding the cost for the mechanic being called out for 3 hours, the fomulae would look like this:
$40 + 3 x $20, and the total cost (the answer) for three hours would be: 100.
On Tuesday, we finished Number Patterns, and are now starting on something new.
I started something called Newsela, which is a reading website, and you answer four questions about the story at the end of each story, and I got 100% right! ;)
Au Revoir
