Week 2 Term 1

Hi everyone;

This week I have learnt how to setup my own blog (with the help of some of the yr 8's in my classroom)  that allows me to post text  I have written and published onto my blog page for other people to read. I now know how to change backgrounds, edit fonts, add different wallpapers to parts of my page, outline the date, and much more. In P.E. this week I learned to play hash cricket, a game for inter-house sports, which is coming up soon. For math I have thoroughly learnt the meanings of  face value, place value, and total value.

Examples: if the number is 45 432, the face value of the 5 is simply 5, but the place value is the 10 000's column. Then the total value is 5 000.

Now I am working on a collage consisting of photos from home that mean something to me. I am working to put them together to create my piece of work. Yesterday we started Jump Jam sessions on the indoor basketball court, where the whole school got together and jammed hard out. The yr 7's in my class took French for the first time today, and I already know 1 sentence: Bonjour, gema pal Grace (hello, my name is Grace).

  1. That's an informative blog post Grace. You just need to check the correct spelling of your French - you have spelled it well phonetically. I think you meant "Bonjour, je m'appelle Grace."
